NHS Dumfries and Galloway require a full time Fire and Security Officer to work within the Estates and Property Department part of the Facilities and Clinical Support Directorate. This post will be based at Mountainhall Treatment Centre in Dumfries. There is a requirement to work across the NHS Dumfries and Galloway area in order to meet the demands of the service. An enthusiastic, flexible and motivated person is sought to work within a team that is committed to ensuring a robust fire and security service exists to support of the corporate aims of NHS Dumfries and Galloway. You will be a team player with good organisational abilities, good communication skills and be able to prioritise workload. The post involves dealing with a range of multidisciplinary teams, stake holders and Health care professionals. The candidate will be required to liaise with ward and departmental staff in order to successfully manage and deliver fire training and to carry out fire and security risk assessments to ensure a safe environment, in busy operational Hospitals and other healthcare facilities is maintained. Relevant previous experience of Fire safety is desirable; the successful candidate must be prepared to work towards accreditation in this field. Experience of working in complex facilities management and/or within an NHS setting would be preferable. 
This post requires the successful candidate to be educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent and to have experience of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email and specialist CAFM software are essential. Familiarity with CAD drawing packages would be an advantage. Due to the geographic spread of Health Board properties a current driving license essential.
