Applications are invited from District Nurses and experienced band 5 Community Staff Nurses. If applying as a Band 5 there is the expectation that the individual will be able to show evidence of addtional learning  and a desire to progress to a Specialist Practitioner Qualification .

This role involves  deputising for the Band 7 and delivering direction and management to the community nursing team .  Applicants will be responsible for the assessment and case management of individuals with complex needs.  Palliative and end of life care forms a large part of the caseload and the applicant must be able to demonstrate experience in this area. The successful applicant will be experienced in working as  part of an integrated team which includes  a GP medical group operating from three sites , AHP, Care at Home  and Third Sector partners.  There is also a Community Hospital based at Craignure on Mull and the applicant will be expected to contribute to discharge planning and patient reviews.

The Isle of Mull is an idyllic setting and is the largest of the Islands within the Inner Hebrides .  It offers an opportunity for a unique work life balance and the community if renowned for its friendliness and support . The area the nursing service covers included the historic Isle of Iona and Ulva .
