Salary Scale £56,992 to £61,522
The Pharmacy Production Team at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness provides aseptically dispensed medicines for cancer patients and other clinical specialties, as well as total parenteral nutrition for patients across NHS Highland. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated, confident and organised pharmacist with special interest and experience in aseptic dispensing to join our team.
You will join a pharmacy team committed to the development of aseptic dispensing services to meet the clinical needs of cancer patients and other clinical specialties, and nutrition needs of patients. You will be fully supported in further developing your knowledge and skills in aseptic dispensing. This will include undertaking the Aseptic Services for Managers course with University of Leeds and training of aseptic auditors by the Scottish Aseptic Specialist Interest Group (ASIG). There is also a new and exciting opportunity for career progression into the role of Accountable Pharmacist for aseptic which is currently undergoing a review as part of succession planning.
You will be a GPhC registered pharmacist with excellent communication and inter-personal skills, and be able to work independently and effectively as part of a team. You will be encouraged and supported in your career development based on the RPS Advanced Pharmacy Framework.
You will also participate in the public holiday rotas and occasional weekend work relating to maintenance and other work for the ADU. Relocation allowance is available in line with NHS Highland relocation policy for the successful candidate who would be moving from out with NHS Highland. The area also benefits from excellent transport links with the rest of the country and beyond, regular train services and several daily flights.
