An opportunity has arisen to apply for the permanent position of Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) in the Critical Care unit on the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Site. This is a key role providing professional and clinical leadership to the nursing teams, ensuring that the highest standards of practice are maintained and that safe effective person centred care is consistently delivered. The department provides 24-hour care for adult patients and comprises of 42 bedded ICU and HDU for patients presenting with a range of medical and post-operative surgical needs. The post holder will also provide clinical and professional leadership to the post-operative recovery team and pre-operative assessment team.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of the largest critical care units in Scotland which provides support for a number of regional specialities including transplant, trauma and neurosurgery. The successful individual will have the skill and vision to develop a first class nursing service with a can do attitude focused on achieving a performance that ensures a safe patient experience. The post holder will report to the Clinical Service Manager for Anaesthetics, Theatres and Critical Care and professionally to the Associate Nurse Director for the Diagnostics, Anaesthetics, Theatres and Critical Care.
