This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post. 

The post holder accepts day to day responsibility for the efficient and effective throughput of work in the treatment planning room, and plans patients’ radiotherapy including routine and non-routine complex and highly complex treatments. The postholder acts as an Operator, under IRMER, for specified areas of work from the following range of duties: IMRT/VMAT; 3D conformal; 3D breast; complex electron planning; stereotactic intracranial and/or extracranial; Clinical Trials involving Radiotherapy. The post will include some aspect of daily management of the planning room work; staff training and competence development.
