An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our dynamic team of community nurses in West Caithness. The post provides an ideal opportunity to progress your career and influence the changes required to meet the evolving health needs of care and support in Caithness. The role requires someone with strong, effective leadership qualities.
You should have completed or be working towards completion of Post Graduate Diploma or Masters Degree in District Nursing. You should also be skilled and creative and willing to work with other professionals as a leader in the Integrated Care Team. The post holder will offer expertise and advice in the treatment and support of patients in the community. They will need to work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary staff and general practice to support individuals to have good quality care in their own homes.
In addition, the post holder will use their expertise to be a source of training and mentorship to those within the immediate team/area and as necessary to students that may have a placement within the team.
A current driving licence is essential for this post and you will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations to meet the operational requirements of the service.
This is a full time post of 37.5 hours, to be worked flexibly in accordance with service requirements and in agreement with your line manager.
