Are you interested in becoming a Clinical Perfusionist in a Centre which provides adult CPB, Paediatric, CPB, ECMO, short term VADs and Long term VADs as an integral part of your role?
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Clinical Perfusionist, who is keen to take up these challenging roles with high levels of responsibility and autonomy. There is a high degree of multidisciplinary working within the service and you will play a vital role within these.
The West of Scotland Clinical Perfusion service provides support to both the Golden Jubilee National Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. There is an annual adultworkload of around 1400 adult cases, including cardiac transplantation and complex adult congenital specialties. In addition there are around 250 neonate/paediatric cardiac surgical CPB procedures each year. There are busy neonatal, paediatric and adult ECMO services across the two sites and a busy short term VAD service at GJNH. Clinical Perfusionists also have the responsibility of managing all technical aspects of the LTLVAD patients, including scrubbing and participation at the implant with follow up reviews at outpatient clinics.
You must be a motivated, committed and flexible working accredited Clinical Perfusionist, fully registered as such with the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland. Training within paediatrics, ECMO and VADs will be provided.
