An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Capital Planning team at NHS Highland for a Clinical Advisor / Healthcare Planner. The post holder will support key new build and refurbishment projects in Caithness and North Coast of Sutherland, and applicants from those areas are particularly welcomed.
Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent with experience of delivering healthcare in a variety of settings. The successful applicant will perform a key role in the planning and delivery of new healthcare projects by engaging with clinical and service stakeholders, collating their requirements, negotiating and offering evidence-based challenge to determine functional and optimal accommodation schedules and layouts that fully support the delivery of current best practice in new and re-designed premises.
Other responsibilities will be to communicate technical project delivery information to clinical stakeholders and vice-versa, to advise the project team and other stakeholders on clinical considerations and working practices, to plan and advise on commissioning of healthcare facilities and to lead or feed into post-project evaluation processes. The postholder must be approachable with excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.
