We are looking to recruit a Bank Cardiographer to join the Cardiac Physiology Team at NHS Highland. We have a friendly team of Cardiographers, Cardiac Physiologists, Consultant Cardiologists and cardiology specialist Nurses. Based at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, you will provide a range of cardiac and respiratory tests including adult and paediatric ECG, cardiac monitor fitting and spirometry, all in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. You will work across the hospital independently responding to ECG requests and communicating the results to the clinical teams. Occasionally you may also be required to assist with covering admin and reception roles to support the department.

Applicants are expected to be able to independently perform ECG to a Society for cardiological science and technology (SCST) standard, fit Holter and R-test cardiac monitors and perform spirometry investigations. Applicants who have experience in some of these areas may be considered with training provided to develop your skills. You will also need a good level of numeracy and English (written and spoken), computer skills and excellent communication skills, ideally with experience of dealing with patients in a caring environment.

Raigmore is a modern District General Hospital with 500 beds and a catchment area of almost 10,000 square miles covering the entire Scottish Highlands.
