The post will also support evening, weekend and public holiday service provision as part of the wider pharmacy team 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacist to lead our pharmacy clinical trials team.

As the responsible pharmacist for clinical trials, you will lead, plan, organise and deliver the pharmacy clinical trial service across NHS Fife. You will work collaboratively with research teams to provide professional advice to aid in the planning of clinical trials and contribute to good clinical governance in the use of medicines. You will manage the operational aspects of clinical trials and be expected to actively participate in any regional or national programmes related to clinical trials. You will have a clinical commitment and will support the Head of Pharmacy - Development & Innovation in the strategic and operational development of the pharmacy service to NHS Fife.

You will be based at the Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline however, you will be required to be flexible to work across NHS Fife hospital sites.

It is essential you have a Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent and are a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). A postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience is essential and it is desirable that you are an independent prescriber. You will have significant post-registration experience of pharmacy practice including clinical trials, sound clinical knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and comprehensive IT skills.
