An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hyperacute Stroke Specialist Nurse, South-Sector based in QEUH. The Stroke Service is part of the Rehab & Assessment Directorate within the Acute Division of NHS Great Glasgow & Clyde.

The Stroke Service provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients who have had a stroke.

The ethic of the stroke team is to ensure equity and quality service to stroke patients and their families. We aim to support innovation and an evidence based approach to support effective delivery of services. Also supporting the team in an environment conducive to learning and development.

The post holder will provide clinical expertise to the stroke pathway with a clear focus on Thrombolysis and Thrombectomy.

You will participate in planning, priority setting and decision making to ensure that patients’ needs are met throughout their stroke journey. Support patients and families through diagnosis, investigation, treatment and outcome.
