This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Pharmacist to join the East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) Pharmacy team.  As a key member of the team you will have an important role in improving the quality and cost effectiveness of prescribing and medicines use for patients across the HSCP.   You will work closely with GPs, other practice staff, community pharmacists and members of the wider healthcare team in delivering a high quality clinical pharmacy service as part of the GP contract.   You will work mainly within GP practices to provide individualised clinical care to patients, through clinics, to improve the safety and effectiveness of their medicines.  You will require to provide support and mentorship for trainee and foundation staff.  You should have a sound clinical knowledge, good IT skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. This patient facing role will involve taking on a prescribing role.  Applicants should be qualified independent prescribers or be prepared to work towards this qualification.

You must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and be able to demonstrate a commitment to Continuing Professional Development.  You must have significant post registration experience.  You will be required to travel between GP practices to carry out the duties of this post.  Experience of directly working with primary care teams and knowledge of GP systems would be advantageous.  This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
