This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Technical Manager with a strong Windows Endpoint Management / Desktop Support background. The Endpoint Support Manager is in post to provide leadership, technical direction and guidance on all matters of Desktop / Laptop / Mobile Device Infrastructure including endpoint security, technical controls, procedures and standards in order to maintain a robust and resilient IT estate.

You will manage a team of 14-16 skilled technicians and work experience / trainees using a suite of tools to ensure that NHS Fife achieves and maintains the SLAs and KPIs of availability, capacity and performance demanded by a modern Health Board. You will also organise and manage the team’s contribution towards a constant flow of business change and the wider IT Service Delivery Programme.

The Endpoint Team offers expert direction on all digital endpoint tools within NHS Fife, collaborating with the other technical teams, partner organisations and suppliers to ensure a robust, reliable and cost effective service.

You will be a team player with excellent work ethic, communication and organisational skills. You will have the knowledge skills and competencies; typically gathered during the performance of a similar role or be a developing IT professional with demonstrable aptitude for this post. You will also have a very keen interest in IT desktop services and architecture, including virtual solutions and remote desktop services, and be willing to develop professional networking with colleagues nationally (Scotland). The Endpoint Support Manager is an integral part of the IT Management Team (8 pers) within IT Operations.

You must be able to travel throughout Fife regularly and within Scotland as required.

A high level of English language competency and communication skills is necessary to perform this role safely and effectively.  Participation in a 24/7 on-call rota is required along with providing any relevant out of hours support required by the organisation.
