The Golden Jubilee University National Hospital is the National Waiting Times Centre for Scotland providing elective orthopaedic surgeries, general surgery, endoscopy and opthalmology to patients to assist in the reduction of waiting times. The hospital is also the West of Scotland Heart and Lung Centre offering both elective and urgent cardiac and thoracic surgery in addition to acute cardiology services.
With plans to further increase the number of procedures offered on site an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced MSK or Occupational Health Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Occupational Health Physiotherapy team to support our growing workforce. The post holder will contribute to the triaging and management of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions affecting staff, provide advice to managers on return to work plans or necessary amendments to role. Immediate access to our OH physio service allows exposure to an interesting and wide variety of MSK cases. This covers the most acute to the most complex with regular opportunity to be the first point of contact for employees. The post-holder will have control over their diary bookings and there will also be opportunities to implement health promotion activities and promote the benefits of physical activity amongst staff to aid in both their physical and mental wellbeing.
The successful candidate will be based within our busy rehabilitation department within our dedicated Occupational Health Team. Applications from those with extensive post graduate experience working within an MSK environment who can demonstrate excellent communication skills and the values of our organisation would be welcomed.
