A rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced nurse to join the GGC Renal Unit in the position of band 6 renal practice educator. The successful candidate will be based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but will be expected to travel between all of the Renal sites within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The post holder will work alongside the senior renal clinical educator to assess, implement and evaluate the educational requirements of the service and individual staff and incorporate the delivery of theoretical and practical skills. The post holder will play a key role in 3 main areas: ▪ In conjunction with the band 7 clinical educator, aid the development and implementation of the Practice education plan for renal services within GGC ▪ Facilitate development of the knowledge and skills of the renal nursing team ▪ Continually develop and support the nursing team to achieve corporate targets, i.e. learnpro and locally developed learning packages. We welcome interest from motivated, NMC registered Nurses who can demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development and be educated to at least degree level. You should also have post registration experience within the renal nursing field. This is a full time post Monday – Friday, though consideration will be given to a flexible working pattern.
