This is an exciting opportunity to develop your quality improvement and programme management skills. You will gain relevant experience to support career progression within improvement roles.
With guidance from a Senior Improvement Advisor, you will complete a comprehensive development plan and gain practical experience supporting a national improvement programme. You will be supported to:
- develop your knowledge and application of QI methodology
- facilitate sessions at national and local events,
- lead a defined small programme of work, and
- provide improvement support and coaching to a service.
This role is part of the Primary Care Improvement Portfolio and will provide support for a new commission, the Primary Care Phased Investment Programme that aims to:
- improve implementation of the General Medical Service (GMS) contract with a focus on pharmacotherapy and community treatment and care (CTAC) services
- develop a culture of continual improvement across primary care settings, and
- build evidence to understand the national context for implementation.
You will work in a friendly environment which supports individuals to develop. This is a fantastic opportunity to test a new way of working within the organisation, while working on a high priority programme.
Educated to degree level, or with equivalent knowledge and experience working in a similar role within NHS or social care settings, you will have excellent written and communication skills, and be able to connect effectively with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally. Candidates will have experience in project work, be good at building relationships and interested in improvement.

We look forward to speaking to prospective candidates about these exciting roles.
