The post holder will be a first level Registered Mental Health Nurse educated to degree level or with equivalent experience including Continuing Professional Development in Older Peoples Mental Health Care. The post holder will have a clearly demonstrated track record of leadership/management experience transferrable to this position. As a fundamental member of the integrated Older Peoples Community Mental Health Team, the Nurse Team Leader has responsibility for clinical nurse leadership. They will work in collaboration with the Social Work Team Lead within the Team, to jointly manage the integrated OPMHT on a day to day basis. The post holder will ensure team quality processes in assessment, risk management and implementation of programmes of care, using strength based recovery focused approaches involving the patient as a partner in their care-planning. The post-holder will be responsible for the safe and effective deployment and management of nursing resources as well as managing and supporting ongoing integrated team development to fulfil the key functions of the OPMHT. In addition to this, the role will have close interface with and support ongoing developments across Inverclyde’s Community Mental Health Services and the wider Health and Social Care Partnership. Secondment opportunity for existing NHS GGC staff can be discussed with current line manager agreement
