What you will do:

Working within the Department of Organisation and Human Resources Development you will act as a proactive and professional HR Advisor within designated areas of the organisation.  As a key HR contact you will advise, influence, train and coach line managers on how to proceed with employee relations issues including conduct, capability, grievance and attendance.

In this generalist HR role you will support a range of senior managers and therefore be comfortable liaising with colleagues across a number of professions and at all levels.

Reporting to the HR Manager for your designated area the role will also require you to advise on the application of organisational policies and procedures as well as support the organisation through workforce and service change.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You will be educated to degree level in relevant subject or have equivalent qualification/experience, possess a post graduate qualification or equivalent and have chartered CIPD membership (or working towards this) or equivalent experience gained at senior HR level.  You will be able to evidence excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills as well as experience of successfully managing complex employee relations matters. Previous experience of working in the NHS or public sector would also be preferred.

Hours:

30 hours per week over 4/5 days.  The department operates Monday to Friday

Fixed Term/Secondment:

Please note this job is a fixed term/secondment until 30th September 2024


Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
