Work Pattern: Permanent, Full Time, 37.5 hours per week.

Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
The role of the Planning and Corporate Resources Directorate is to:
Provide comprehensive strategy, planning and performance management services to NES, which meets internal and external needs.
Support the work of NES through the provision of a full range of corporate services, supporting the proper functioning of the Board and governance processes.
Provide a comprehensive corporate communications function.
Provide a comprehensive service for the prompt and effective management of corporate complaints, whistleblowing and freedom of information requests.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our small and talented team within Planning and Corporate Governance. This team provides a core corporate governance function of the organisation and is a key business area within the Planning and Corporate Resources Directorate.
Working within the Planning and Corporate Governance team, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive operational support to the management of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, parliamentary questions and strategic partnership arrangements with partner organisations.

What We Love to See
Corporate Business Officers (Analyst Business Partners) offer a broad range of skills and experience, if you can offer some or all of these, we’d love you to apply:
Extensive experience working in a corporate function and the management of corporate business including freedom of information (FOI) requests.
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and confidently at all levels in the workplace.
A clear understanding of FOI Legislation.
Highly developed co-ordination skills and attention to detail.
Experience of working collaboratively and flexibly within in a team, and across other workstreams and departments.
Demonstrate honesty, integrity, care and compassion when dealing with others, utilising tact and persuasion skills when necessary.
Highly effective communicator knowing how to make often complex information and language simple for diverse senior internal and external stakeholders (both verbally and in writing).
Ability to work on own initiative and to work closely with colleagues, to organise and prioritise workload and to meet strict deadlines.
