Spotlight on Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Outpatient Department (OPD) / Monitoring Clinic Exciting opportunities are available to join ENT OPD / Monitoring Clinic within the Lauriston Building in central Edinburgh. We have multiple Band 5 positions available for Registered Nurses and we are looking for passionate, caring, motivated people to join our highly skilled nursing teams. Our department provides several specialist outpatient services which are delivered by medical staff that includes ENT Consultants, Registrars and Physicians Associates, alongside the Nursing team, which includes Clinical Nurse Specialists, Senior Charge Nurse, Depute Charge Nurse, Staff Nurses and Senior Health Care Support Workers. The service is enhanced by additional multidisciplinary team members including Speech and Language Therapists, Consultant Radiologists and Audiology team consisting of specialist Hearing and Balance Therapists. Registered nursing staff support services in ENT and Monitoring Service. There is an opportunity for Band 5 nurses to further develop their skills and knowledge in a diverse specialty, which includes nurse led preoperative assessment clinic / decontamination process / specialist rhinology and otology clinics i.e.: Allergy testing / Gentamycin Ablation / Balance clinics / Voice rehabilitation / Laryngeal Botox Clinic / Urgent Head and Neck - one stop cancer clinic – includes supporting radiologist and assisting in acquiring biopsies. Nurse led Chronic Disease Monitoring service – includes various specialities – Diabetes – foot assessment / Renal / Haematology / Lipid / GI assessments. We provide in principle a service to Lothian yet can have referrals from Southeast Scotland for specialist consultation.
