An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Drug & Alcohol Recovery Service in north Highland and support the development of psychology services within a progressive and innovative area of work.

 

You will be an active member of the wider Psychological Services within NHS Highland whilst working primarily in the north Highland Drug & Alcohol Recovery specialty.

 

You will have a post-graduate Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology meeting the requirements for eligibility to register as a chartered clinical psychologist with the BPS and registration with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist. 

You will have theoretical knowledge and at least 5 years practical experience of working within the addiction field and /or relevant post graduate qualifications in the field of Drug and Alcohol Recovery.  You will also have experience in working with adults who have experienced past trauma and who present with complex mental health difficulties.

 You would be joining NHS Highlands at a time of exciting and positive changes within its wider Mental Health Service.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and driven clinician to help us achieve our ambition to provide an effective and timely service to those trying to access it. You will have strong but compassionate leadership skills to help you develop the psychological aspects of the Drug & Alcohol Recovery service.  Continued Personal Development (CPD) and training will be encouraged.
