Work Pattern: Fixed-term, Multiple part-time and full-time posts available, up to 37.5 hours per week

Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
The Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals (NMAHP) Directorate works at a national level to support the delivery of NES’s strategic plan and works in response to commissions from the Scottish Government, Territorial and National Boards and a range of stakeholders to develop Workforce Education. Our work and partnerships support practitioners working in Health and Social Care to develop throughout their careers and with high quality accessible resources to support their ongoing professional development.
One of the programmes of work within the NMAHP directorate is the practice education programme. This programme is responsible for supporting the following key workstreams: Allied Health Professionals (AHP) careers including return to practice; AHP practice-based learning; Supporting transitions including supervision and preceptorship; Supporting workforce development. The post holder would work predominantly within the practice-based learning workstream. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to work as part of a wider team of Practice Education Leads committed to supporting practice-based learning for AHP students with the objective to continue to modernise, diversify and sustain quality practice-based learning across Scotland.
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our small, highly talented AHP practice education team. Working within the team you will support delivery of the AHP practice-based learning workstream.

Experienced in the delivery of activities which support AHP practice-based learning
Proven experience of project management and leading change
Track record in the delivery of education and development opportunities for AHPs / profession specific groups
Ability to collaborate effectively and build networks and communities of practice
Ability to confidently lead and facilitate the implementation of a variety of models of practice-based learning delivery
Highly effective communicator knowing how to make complex information and language simple for a diverse range of stakeholders
Demonstrate honesty, integrity, care and compassion when dealing with others, utilising tact and persuasion skills when necessary
Ability to work on own initiative, to organise and prioritise own workloads and that of others, and to meet strict deadlines
