This is an exciting opportunity to take a key role as an Occupational Therapy Advanced Practitioner to further develop the Older Adult Mental Health OT Service across NHS Forth Valley.

We would welcome applications from occupational therapists who are committed to and get excited by improving services and supporting staff wellbeing and who love collaborating with others to deliver the very best care to those we serve.

You will work across inpatient and community settings, have a varied complex caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge or onward referral, and have responsibility for the supervision, education and development of other team members. You will provide specialist resource to other staff, patients & carers.  You will have an active involvement in clinical governance, clinical effectiveness and research.

We are currently going through a period of service redesign thus we would welcome applications from innovative occupational therapists who have a clinical interest in older adult mental health & frailty, have a drive to improve services, support staff wellbeing and have a strong collaborative approach to care.

The successful candidate(s) will be HCPC registered as an occupational therapist and will be mobile across the geographic area of Forth Valley. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

NHS Forth Valley is embracing contemporary working. As and when required the post holder will be expected to participate in twilight or weekend working.

We would also welcome your application if you would like to return to practice as an occupational therapist.
