We have an exciting opportunity for a Pre Assessment Team Lead to join our team at the Royal Hospital for Children Glasgow. Pre- operative assessment is pivotal to the elective surgical pathway and theatre utilisation. The purpose of this role is to provide professional leadership and operational management of the Pre-operative assessment service. The Pre Assessment Team Leader is integral to the delivery of the strategic vision and plan for the hospital and creating excellent outcomes for the patients that attend the service. You will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of leading and developing a high performing team to enhance patient care and customer experience, whilst facilitating the best possible clinical outcomes. A commitment to the development of high quality evidence based care is essential, combined with the tenacity and passion required to drive the department forward. It is essential you are a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and have substantial post registration experience. If you do not already hold a qualification, you must be willing to undertake training to become a qualified practitioner in pre-operative assessment You should also have the ability to lead teams, lead practice and continuous professional development and to work effectively as part of a multi-professional / multi-agency team
