The Programme Director will play a pivotal role in co-ordinating and managing a complex programme of work, working closely with the Regional Clinical Lead for the programme and the North of Scotland Regional Team to ensure delivery of the agreed priorities and support the achievement of the objectives and outcomes as by agreed by the North of Scotland Chief Executives. The role will also lead on developing a regional community and supportive learning culture in the North, managing different perspectives and priorities with innovative approaches. Close links with other programmes of work and key stakeholders will be essential to ensure alignment across the region.

The successful post-holder will have significant knowledge of CAMHS services at an operational level, with experience in delivering significant change/transformation of services. This role requires the ability to think creatively and demonstrate the ability to engage meaningfully with clinical and non-clinical colleagues and teams, service users, carers and third sector partners, to deliver the transformational change required.  The post-holder should also have recent demonstrable experience in CAMHS services, excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across a range of disciplines, managing differing stakeholder priorities, exceptional organisational skills and an ability to analyse and present complicated and sensitive information.

Applicants should be educated to degree level with a post-graduate or professional qualification in a relevant area of knowledge and have Programme and Project Management qualifications such as PRINCE 2, MSP or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.  A clinical background is preferred but not essential requirement.
