This is an excellent opportunity for you to join our teams in NHS Greater Glasgow and .  We are recruiting within the South West Sector (Diagnostics Directorate) seeking rotational band 6 Radiographers and a core B6


Band 6 Radiographer (Rotational) 

 

Within the South West Sector there is cross site rotation based on a ‘hub and spoke’ model enabling staff to develop a breadth and depth of knowledge and skills across scheduled and unscheduled care. Rotation includes a selection of modalities including Plain Film, CT, MRI, or Interventional, at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (Hub) and spoke sites including, Gartnavel General Hospital (inc. West of Scotland Beatson Oncology Centre), New Victoria Hospital, West Glasgow ACH.


The will be the designated Major Trauma Centre from 2020 with a busy ED Department.  Specialities within the SW Sector include Orthopaedics, Urology, Surgery, Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Oncology. 


Band 6 Radiographer Core MRI

 

We have a Core MR position which would suit individuals wishing to become competent in MRI, or already skilled in this area and wishing to specialise in MRI.

The South West Sector has 6 MRI scanners from a range of vendor platforms providing a wide scope MRI of examinations

 

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde are committed to radiography role development and have one Consultant Reporting Radiographer, two Consultant Sonographers and a team of reporting radiographers and sonographers developing their roles in a variety of areas within Imaging such as Ultrasound guided FNA, Arthrography.


It is essential you have a Degree in Radiography / DCR, with current HCPC registration and have significant post graduate experience. The hours of these posts are worked 5/7, 365 days per year including public holiday, extended day working and on call from home. Successful candidates will benefit from a structured training and induction programme.  Part time or Job Share application will be considered.
