NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern is Monday-Friday 08.00-16.00 (37.5 hours).
The post requires the applicant to be a time served Painter who has completed a recognised apprenticeship. A minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship experience is desirable but not essential. The applicant must have the ability and knowledge to carry out all aspects of painting and decoration within commercial buildings. It would be desirable to have a good level of knowledge, understanding and experience of maintenance within in large healthcare premises.
The successful applicant(s) will also have responsibilities to assist with training and education of apprentices and adult trainees ensuring they gain the necessary training and experience to meet the needs of their training program, this will also include some work with managers to identify and set up the training programs.
