Contribute to the delivery of a high quality breast imaging and assessment service within the areas covered by the South East Division of the Scottish Breast Screening Programme (SBSP).

Provide clinical leadership within specialisms within own department and Nationally.

Lead in the development and achievement of the clinical governance agenda in relation to clinical specialisms.

Take the lead in research and development of evidence base within own field.

Responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the routine screening sessions and related Quality Assurance tests.

Justify and perform Mammographic examinations, providing direct care and a high quality diagnostic imaging service in order to support the management of the population eligible for breast screening in the areas serviced by the SBSP.

Responsible for Health Education provision to the clients attending for screening, review and

Assessment. Up to 37.5 hours will be considered.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
