We have an amazing opportunity for you to join our team as an Information Analyst within our Business Intelligence department. You will be have experience in working with data analysis and dataset management within the NHS or equivalent organisation. We need an analyst who is organised, hard-working, flexible, and enjoys a fast paced working environment. You must be passionate about delivering positive change through data insights, embrace problem-solving opportunities, and take pride in high quality technical delivery. Consideration will also be given to individuals who have completed related education and with suitable skills and experience.

Location and Working Pattern: Within eHealth, we operate on a hybrid working model which means that you’re working pattern will likely include working from home as well as in an office. Our Office is based at 1 Smithhills Street, Paisley, PA1 1EB. The work pattern is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours During times of public health emergencies, or other urgent business need, you may be required on a temporary basis to work your normal contracted working hours over 7 days including weekends, to meet the needs of the service. 

The ideal applicant will:

• Have experience of working with, and interpreting, complex datasets

• Be technically capable across a range of technologies • Aware of necessity to ensure data quality, and methods for quality improvement

• Have an understanding or experience of how functional workflows translate to information held in data repositories

• Compile and present important statistics to a wide audience, including NHS Greater Glasgow HB and its constituent service divisions, Health and Social Care partnerships, Scottish Government, other partner organisations and the general public


What skills, background and experience do you need to apply?

• A strong understanding of numeric subjects such as mathematics, basic statistics, is essential.

• Ideally a degree in a numerate subject, or equivalent relevant work experience

• Good IT skills, with experience of programming / data analysis and use of statistical tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, R, or Business Objects are also desired

• Good verbal and written communication skills, able to prepare concise and easily understood information

• Ability to work independently on own initiative and to contribute as part of a team

• A strong sense of resilience and flexibility to adapt to different working environments/ locations/teams

• Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks

• Accurate and pays attention to detail

• Strong commitment to personal development and motivation to complete a degree while working.
