Band 6 Occupational Therapist - 37.5 hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our innovative and skilled team of Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary practitioners, working within Forensic Services.

This post will be based within Woodland View and you will have a clinical remit working within an 8 bed male Low Secure Ward and an 8 bed Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit (IPCU). You will participate in the ongoing development of innovative models of care, utilising evidence based practice and strengths based approaches within teams.   

Line management supervision and caseload allocation will be undertaken in collaboration with a Band 7 Team Lead Occupational Therapist.

There is an ongoing commitment to providing dynamic professional and clinical supervision which meet our wider staff and service needs.

Support and development is promoted and encouraged through a variety of forums including participation in practice development groups; the Forensic network, in house and external training.

As a team we are keen to support flexible working practices which benefit the health and wellbeing aspirations of both our service users and staff.

 

Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC Registration are essential requirements.

 

Experience of working as an Occupational Therapist within Mental Health Services is required. Experience of working within a forensic mental health setting would be beneficial.

 

Car driver/owner is essential for the role. (cross-site working)
