Medicine of the Elderly & Stroke Medicine at RIE is looking for an experienced PA/Administrator to provide comprehensive support to the senior management team. This is a varied, interesting and demanding post, in an ever evolving environment. This is fantastic position within this dynamic and progressive team.

A small snippet of your duties below:

  • Planning and minute taking for complex meetings
  • Preparation and distribution of papers for meetings
  • Acting as first point of contact for the Clinical Service Manager, Clinical Director, Assistant Service Manager and other members of the clinical management team
  • Supporting projects, often from inception to completion

The post is full time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Essential –

  • Friendly manner with good interpersonal skills, be motivated to achieve results
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Positive attitude to change. 
  • HNC/SVQIII in Secretarial Studies/ Business Administration / other relevant subject and or experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Demonstrate effective negotiating and problem solving skills. You will be a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter and able to use your own initiative
  • Prioritise your workload to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • High level of attention to detail and integrity
  • Flexibility to meet last minute demands.
  • Experience of working in an NHS environment would be an advantage.
  • Reliable time management.
