Permanent Senior Charge Nurse post has arisen to manage Philipshill ward within the QENSIU, we are looking for an experienced nurse with existing clinical, leadership and management skills. The post holder will support the Lead Nurse by supporting and managing the clinical department in Philipshill ensuring that patients’ needs are assessed, care planned, implemented and evaluated, and that there is consultation and involvement of the multidisciplinary team. The post holder will provide clinical leadership, guidance and support to the nursing team and is responsible for ensuring their supervision, training and education in conjunction with the nurse educator and practice development. The post holder will exercise acute and rehabilitation skills to direct and provide strong leadership in the provision of a high quality patient experience, ensuring safe patient centred care. Under direction from the Lead Nurse, exercise effective management of the MDT team, optimising the use of human resources, absence management, and rostering to reflect activity requirements. It is essential that the successful candidate has a minimum of 5 years’ expert experience within Spinal Injuries.
