Dental Technician Band 5 in Removable Prosthetics
An exciting opportunity has developed for a suitable person to join our team based at The Edinburgh Dental Institute, Oral Health Service NHS Lothian Prosthetic’s Laboratory services.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to work in a broad range of prosthetic appliances including implant retained hybrids and titanium bar 2-1 dentures. The department has invested in the latest CAD CAM technology with the ability to in-house scan by either intra-oral or desktop and to use these files to design and print or mill prosthetic appliances.
You will get a good understanding of various implant systems, chrome cobalt frameworks and experience in CAD/CAM. Our department deals with high complex and non-routine prosthetic restorative cases which is consultant lead and is also involved with the post graduate teaching for students attending Edinburgh University.
