An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 mental health team leader in HMP YOI Polmont.  

The overall purpose of this post is to manage and lead the mental health team to deliver care to patients with a range of complex mental health needs within this unique environment.

Our ethos is to deliver trauma informed, person centred and safe & effective care to our patients.

We are recruiting a dynamic, compassionate and enthusiastic individual who wants to be part of an extensive multi-disciplinary team, working in partnership with SPS, and wider agencies. You will be a vital part of a holistic service, making a significant contribution to the mental health care needs, outcomes and experience of a complex and vulnerable population.

Applicants will be a first level mental health registered nurse that can provide evidence of ongoing personal development. You will demonstrate experience of delivering high quality person–centred care whilst working in a complex multi-disciplinary setting. The ability to co-ordinate and respond to dynamic situations with competing demands is essential. The applicant must be able to provide evidence of excellent people management and leadership skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Applicants must hold active UK NMC PIN. They will be ambitious and a committed individual, supporting the development of a modern and innovative healthcare service. 

All posts are subject to rotation. Ability and willingness to work and travel across the areas of service delivery is essential for this post.
