A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and skilled pharmacist to work within our dynamic prison healthcare teams. The Post holder will lead, develop, deliver and evaluate our pharmacy service within the 3 NHS Forth Valley Prisons.

The post holder will provide leadership to the pharmacy teams within the 3 prisons, acting as a role model you will provide a consistently high-quality pharmaceutical service. You will take a leading role in developing the role of pharmacy within the team. You will be based at HMP Glenochil but will also provide cross site support to HMPYOI Polmont and HMPYOI Stirling.

NHS Forth Valley Prison Healthcare provides a system of care for individuals with primary care, mental health and substance use issues to a prison population of approximately 1100 individuals from the age of 16 years upwards. The provision of accessible, high quality services are an important component of our models of care and as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide a highly specialist, patient centred, safe and effective clinical pharmacy service to patients within our care.

Joining our friendly and supportive team you will have the opportunity to gain and share knowledge within a diverse and challenging healthcare environment while supported to further develop your clinical skills in managing patients with various conditions, enhance your leadership skills and expand your management capabilities.

You will also be supported by the wider NHS Forth Valley Pharmacy Leadership team with professional support provided in order for you develop, learn and progress successfully in this exciting and new opportunity.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
