Exciting opportunities have arisen within the Critical Care Unit in Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert.  We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, kind, caring and hard working Registered Nurses who will work as part of a multidisciplinary team. 

The Critical Care Unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital is a 19 bedded combined general unit caring for patients requiring Level 2 or Level 3 care.

Previous experience in intensive care and high dependency nursing is essential.  A high level of interpersonal and communication skills are essential.  You must demonstrate an appetite for life long learning and able to provide evidence of your professional development. 

The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Critical Care Consultants, SCN’s, Infection control department, microbiology, and staff in performing a systematic collection of data, analysis and making recommendations for change as appropriate. Providing education to staff to ensure staff development and continuity of the service with a specialist knowledge in critical illness and infection surveillance, thus ensuring the effective care and treatment of patients

The post holder will also provide support to the Critical Care inpatient and outpatient follow up service, and Bereavement Care Service, working closely with the Critical Care Consultants and other staff members. In addition the post holder will ensure critical care unit discharge and hospital outcomes are completed within the national audit system.
