We are looking for a fixed term 1 year Band 5 0.6WTE registered Nurse to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team based at Inverclyde CAMHS. The candidate must have First level Registered Mental Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with NMC Registration. Relevant Pre registration experience of working with children and /or young people (and their families/carers) with a range of mental health/ learning disability and neuro-developmental difficulties is advantageous but not required. Training and induction will be provided. Candidates must have an ability to work independently using own initiative. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills and demonstrates a positive attitude towards children and young people alongside an understanding of children and young people’s mental health and developmental needs at Tier 2 and Tier 3 levels. You must demonstrate an understanding of family, community, and social systems. You must demonstrate that evidence based practice is at the core of their work. You should be highly organized and have the ability to function competently as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. You should be knowledgeable of factors which impact on mental health and emotional well-being. You must be able to conceptualize vulnerability, including risk factors and intervene to build resilience. You must demonstrate an ability/willingness to commit to personal and professional development. As part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s pre employment checking for all appointed candidates, evidence of current NMC registration will be required prior to start date. You should therefore note candidates who are unable to provide confirmation of current NMC registration, in line with projected start date for this post, may not be short listed for interview. The shift pattern for this post is between Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm.
