NHS Forth Valley have an exciting opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic and forward thinking pharmacist to join their Mental Health Clinical Pharmacy Team.

This post provides a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to develop their skills within mental health. The post-holder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and offer pharmaceutical care for people with mental health issues across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Due to recent changes within the team, there are opportunities to provide clinical cover to a number of areas including general adult, older adult, forensic psychiatry and learning disabilities. The Mental Health Pharmacy Team have been involved in achieving Accreditation for Inpatient Mental Health Services (AIMS) from the Royal College of Psychiatrists for our acute adult inpatient wards - one of only a few settings in Scotland to have been awarded this.

You will have highly effective interpersonal, communication and influencing skills and be able to liaise closely with hospital, community pharmacy and Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) colleagues to ensure seamless pharmaceutical care.   

Candidates must have a Masters of Pharmacy degree or equivalent, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have relevant mental health post registration experience, with evidence of post graduate training and development.  You should have completed the pharmacist independent prescribing qualification or be willing to work towards this. 

Please note that this is a part time post with no emergency duty (on call) commitment.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
