BAND 7 or subject to Annex 21 (Paragraph 2 (iii)– 37 HRS PER WEEK (FULL TIME)
An opportunity has arisen for an individual to work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist caring for those living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) within the department of Neurosciences. The post holder will deliver care focusing on symptom management and palliative care for those across Tayside, NE Fife, Angus and P&K who require support relating to MND.
We are seeking a Nurse who can work alongside a small experienced team. This position will be key in providing Gold Standard Care across Tayside. The post holder will work closely with other Trusts and sectors to provide holistic care within Scotland to meet the needs required and laid out in the Neurological Standards for those with MND.
We are looking for an experienced individual with a passion for delivering gold standard care and a knowledge in palliative care and or Neurology.
Applicants should have evidence of significant post registration professional practice with particular knowledge and experience working within the field of Neurology or palliative care to undertake and fulfil the key areas required for this post. Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified and experienced staff that already possess or are working towards a post graduate qualification, or can demonstrate significant equivalent experience.
Ideally applicants should be educated or working towards Masters Level or have the ability to demonstrate working at this level appropriate to this clinical area as well as a qualification in, or working towards a qualification in non medical prescribing.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register.
Hours of work for this post is: 37 hrs per week
