***Exciting NEW Mental Health Nursing Opportunity***

This Practice Development Support Nurse in Inverclyde HSCP Mental Health Services is an exciting new (seldom available) opportunity to come and join the Mental Health Practice Development Team.

As an integral member of the Mental Health Practice Development Nurse Team you will be line managed and professionally accountable to the Practice Development Nurse with responsibility for supporting the professional nursing workplan. This new Mental Health Practice Development Support Nurse (PDSN) role will work across inpatient and community Mental Health Service areas within Inverclyde HSCP.  The PDSN will provide a clinically visible presence within inpatient and community mental health areas and will contribute to the improvement of quality care delivery in practice. 

The post holder will undertake duties demonstrating a values based recovery focused approach to the delivery of compassionate, safe and effective person centred care.  As delegated by the PDN, the post holder will support the implementation of the Mental Health Professional Nursing plan, in line with local, Board, service and National policies and strategies. 

This new PDSN post provides an exciting development opportunity for senior nurses to enhance project management, nurse leadership and practice development knowledge, skills and expertise as well as supporting mental health nurses in practice across a diverse range of services.
