An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated enthusiastic, kind, caring and hard-working Clinical Support Worker to join the Team within our busy Gastroenterology/Acute General Medicine Ward at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

The Clinical Support Worker works as part of the multidisciplinary team carrying out a range of personal care activities, clinical care tasks and other duties as delegated by and in support of a Registered Nurse. An ability to work under pressure and have developed competence in a variety of clinical skills relating to caring for acutely unwell patients is preferable. Applicants will have the opportunity to develop further clinical skills – including, but not limited to, ECG’s, wound dressing, venepuncture and Cannulation etc.

We require you to have good communication skills, are flexible and adaptable and can work well within a team while using your own initiative.

You will be expected to carry out assigned tasks involving direct patient care and the smooth running of the department supporting registered nurses. Good observation skills and the ability to recognise a change in patient’s condition and know when to refer on to a senior nurse is vital.

The successful Candidate is expected to be flexible to the requirements of the service.  This includes being flexible to a day/night shift rotation and being able to work weekends as rostered.
