Job Advert
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide expert clinical skills technical support to all learners and teaching staff within the 12 bedded Clinical Skills Area which can be partitioned into single rooms containing live gas, hoists and the latest technology to record clinical skills and simulation.
The video capture system uses bed head cameras, touch screen displays and an audio-visual room to record individual or group session which are then viewed on a secure web portal. Skills are taught using a range of mannequins or with one of our advanced “SimMan” patient simulators. Three interview rooms also exist which are set-up for history taking and consultation scenarios. The clinical skills suite is directly linked to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital to allow for patient accessibility during professional courses and examinations.
The role includes working with the centre operational team to provide clinical skills set up, equipment maintenance (Patient simulators/ models, audio-visual system, installed AV & IT systems) and stock control and ordering.
If you feel you have the skills, experience and qualities that this post presents we look forward to receiving your application.
