Are you passionate about quality, safe care and all things clinical governance? If so, this is your opportunity to join the Forth Valley Quality Team in this vital post within NHS Forth Valley. 

We’re looking for someone who can articulate a vision about safety culture and clinical governance to their colleagues and all staff, and who has a track record in developing strategy and policies and can find creative and innovative solutions to  challenges.

This key role oversees a comprehensive, effective and accountable system of clinical governance being in place to ensure patient safety and organisational learning.

You will manage all of the elements of that system, ensuring that objectives are met through the engagement of our front line clinical and care workforce and effective, positive relationships with partners across our health and care system.

You’ll ideally have experience of working in a similar role and perhaps in a clinical environment. You’ll have in-depth knowledge of all elements of clinical governance including relevant standards and legislation, quality control and assurance, quality improvement and clinical risk management.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate that you know how to lead and manage an effective team and you understand how to build trust and work interdependently with other teams to share responsibility for achieving common goals.

The post-holder will be expected to gather, analyse, interpret and present complex and potentially sensitive or contentious information, with excellent report writing skills.
