The Golden Jubilee University National Hospital requires a number of Clinical Engineers to fill vacancies within a state of the art centre of excellence. Graduates with a minimum of a Degree in Electronics, Physics, Medical Physics or a related subject are invited to apply for this position. Applicants with and HND/HNC plus relevant engineering experience in the medical equipment field would also be considered as would candidates with experience in a related field.

Successful applicants will provide technical support to a range of clinical services within the framework of an ISO 13485 Quality Management System. This includes repair, maintenance and calibration of a wide range of electromedical equipment as part of a formal medical equipment lifecycle management system.

If the candidate doesn’t meet the desirable criteria the post holder would be required to complete a formalised training scheme leading to IPEM registration. This training scheme would be delivered in 24 months under the AFC annex 21 framework.

  Additional requirements for role
  • High level of IT literacy.
  • Able to communicate with staff at all levels.
