The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel is a 4-star Hotel and Conference Centre comprising 168 bedrooms and 15 conference spaces. It is Scotland’s leading residential conference venue, an accredited Venue of Excellence and a member of the International Association of Conference Centres.
We are looking for a friendly and welcoming Hotel Front Office Host to join our team. Based at reception, you will support the hotel in all aspects of reception & reservations duties while ensuring excellent guest service at all times.
As the first point of contact for our guests, patients, delegates and visitors, you’ll provide the warmest of welcomes to the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel. You’ll advise guests on hotel facilities and services while ensuring an efficient and smooth operational service at the reception desk.
Daily tasks will include:
Reservation checks
Processing payments
Checking In / Checking Out
Answering calls
Actioning guest requests
Communicating with all departments
Upselling upgrades and extras
Individual, company and group reservations are an important part of the department and you’ll process reservations from a variety of sources including telephone, email, OTAs as well as our own website, ensuring all guest information is captured and details are accurate.
The role requires the ability to be flexible, have good organisational and communication skills and have excellent problem solving skills.

A proven track record of working in a busy environment where changes and competing priorities are a daily challenge is essential.
This post will involve working 3 days from 7 and will include evenings, weekends and occasional night working. This is a fixed term post for 12 months.
