MEDICAL DIVISION
ASSISTANT DIVISIONAL NURSE MANAGER
37.5 HOURS PER WEEK
Salary Scale: Band 8A - £45,446 to £51,883 per annum
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse to take up the post of Assistant Divisional Nurse Manager within the Medical Division. The post holder will work closely with both the Divisional Nurse Manager and the other Assistant Divisional Nurse Manager to further develop a highly effective Division by creating an integrated, connected, collaborative patient centred service that will provide quality care to every person every day within Raigmore Hospital.
The successful candidate will support the Senior Charge Nurses to provide clinical leadership to the nursing team, ensuring safe and effective clinical practice, manage and develop the performance of the team and contribute to the delivery of organisational objectives. A key area is to create a culture of continuous improvement where the patient is at the heart of the care we deliver. The portfolio will also include line management of teams of specialist and advanced nurses, enabling and supporting teams to develop their services.
Engagement with patients, relatives, and the wider nursing and support staff teams is a vital part of the Assistant Divisional Nurse Manager role, leading by example and promoting a supportive and compassionate, caring culture. You will require to be a first level registered nurse, educated to degree level or equivalent experience in acute healthcare. Experience of leading change and service development is essential.

Based in the City of Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands, Raigmore is the flagship hospital for all of NHS Highland. With 480 beds, the hospital covers all specialties and is a training hospital for nursing, medical and AHP staff in association with Stirling, Aberdeen and Dundee Universities. It is a Regional Cancer Centre and is sited on a campus along with the innovative Centre for Health Science. Outreach services are provided from this District General Hospital in Inverness to many sites across Northern Highlands and to both the Western Isles and Orkney.
