An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 registered nurses to join our dedicated nursing team in Ward 43. This is a busy ward with considerable opportunities to further your knowledge in Respiratory Care and the management of Chronic Respiratory conditions.

The Ward receives a number of patients with other medical conditions as well as treating patients who are receiving palliative care. Patients are referred from external tertiary centres such as  Thoracic surgery at RIE or from The Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, as well as a variety of areas within the Victoria Hospital such as the Emergency Department, Admissions Unit 1.

We support the Flying start program and offer on ward teaching on a regular basis.
