We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Adult Speech and Language Therapy service in Forth Valley. The post holder will assist and support Speech and Language Therapists in delivering rehabilitation to adults with speech and language impairment and swallowing difficulties. This support will include direct work with patients as well as patient related administrative tasks. The post is based in Forth Valley Royal Hospital and may involve some travel to see patients in their own homes. 

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

An understanding of the work of speech and language therapists and the impact of acquired communication impairments is desirable. Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential to this work along with well developed interpersonal skills. Confident use of a variety of computer programmes will be required. Experience of electronic patient records such as Morse would be an advantage. The post holder will work under the guidance of qualified speech and language therapists and must be able to prioritise and organise their workload to meet the demands of the service. They should enjoy being part of a team.
