Job Advert

We are looking to expand our friendly team with an enthusiastic and highly motivated sonographer. The Ultrasound department provides a high quality, efficient and effective Ultrasound service to the local population across Forth Valley at both Forth Valley Royal Hospital and Stirling Healthcare Village. We are an inclusive department and supportive of flexible working patterns. A commitment to the weekend rota is essential (1 in 8).

We are interested in candidates who have General, MSK, Vascular or Paediatric experience (including DDH scanning), however consideration will be given to sonographers with other specialist skills.

Personal development and CPD is actively encouraged and promoted with sonographer-led peer review audit undertaken regularly. We are a keen training centre for new sonographers with a mentorship framework, for trainees and newly qualified staff in place to help with their training and eventual transition into advanced practice. We also are involved in the training of specialist registrars in all aspects of diagnostic ultrasound.

The successful candidate will:

  • have HCPC registration
  • be educated to Postgraduate/Masters level in General Medical Ultrasound
  • have good working experience in a variety of ultrasound examinations
