NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), Programme Management Services (PgMS) is looking for two high calibre Portfolio Managers to support delivery of a range of initiatives across Scotland.  Our portfolio of initiatives is unique, challenging and exciting.
PgMS is one of the largest and fastest growing centres of excellence in transformation support, and portfolio, programme and project management in Scotland.  We provide our specialist services to the NHS and wider public sector.  Right now our teams are supporting a range of exciting initiatives such as establishing the new Public Health body in Scotland, reshaping Radiology, design and deliver new NSS web infrastructure and digitally transform patient and professional services across the NHS using Agile techniques.
These are only a few examples from a diverse portfolio of programmes and projects delivering strategic change, establishing new services, and developing new ways of working.  The demand for our specialist services has never been higher so we would like to grow our team of experts.  One or our roles has a particular focus on Digital Transformation with the other working across a range of initiatives in Scotland.
Candidates should be confident and self-motivated with experience of working at executive level in complex and challenging environments on high profile initiatives.  In addition, you will be able to demonstrate extensive senior strategic management experience in a leadership or consultancy role, covering financial, performance, planning, engagement and risk management. You should also be able to evidence strong leadership skills, as the role involves the direction of teams and individuals from multiple disciplines and locations. Experience of leading service change in a digital environment would also be highly desirable.
These posts are available as secondment opportunities for existing NHS Staff in Scotland or England.  Please follow your own organisation’s guidelines if applying in this way.
Please note that unless there are exceptional circumstances, successful candidates will start on the salary scale minimum.
